Class Guidelines:
General Procedures
This is a college-preparatory class, and your academic aptitude and mature behavior is expected to be manifested in this class. You should read the Student Handbook prior to attending this class.
a) These materials are expected to be used in class regularly:
  • 1) Textbook
  • 2) Pencil
  • 3) 3-ring binder recommended)
  • 4) Calculator (for Chemistry class only)
  • 5) Red ink pen
  • 6) Blue or black ink pen
  • 7) Planner

  • b) Be seated and quiet when the bell rings - start to work by writing assignment/notes/review. We will work the entire class period.
    c) Make sure you understand the grading policy handout, which is also available to you. Refer to your syllabus
    e. Your grades are weighted as follows:
  • Daily Work 70%
    ( Study Sheets, Homework, Quizzes, Tests, Lab. Effort and portfolio)
  • Project 10%
    ( Adopt An Element ( First Semester )& Consumer Project Second Semester)
  • Final Exam 20%
    ( Study Sheets, Homework, Quizzes, Tests, Lab. Effort and portfolio)

    »If you ever have questions or need extra help, please ask!
    »Help is also available: each morning class opens around 7:00 a.m. and after school till 5:30 p.m.
    »Attendance is important. If you don't like the consequences, DO NOT BE TARDY TO CLASS.

    Grading Scale
    A= 90 to 100%
    B= 80 to 89%
    C= 70 to 79%
    D= 60 to 69%
    F= 59 and below
