It is difficult to think about what destiny has for each and every one of us. Some, wait for destiny to happen, while others, take destiny into their own hands and to a certain extent, control the paths that their futures take. They strive for greatness, prepare for uncertainty, and during their lives, demonstrate that one is capable of leaving a positive imprint upon society.

Unfortunately, for over forty years, Tomcat alumni have left many prints on society that may have gone unnoticed. They have trotted across areas of the globe, served as an inspiration, touched the lives of many, and have given back four-fold for the benefit of everyone.

East Aurora District #131, being the very first school district in Illinois, is proud of its rich traditions and culture. Every year, hundreds of students are promoted from one grade to another, take the knowledge learned and transfer it to their next grade and teachers serve as their guiding force until one day, they graduate from East High, and go on to their next stages of life. For many, they continue their education at some of the nation's finest colleges and universities. For others, they serve our nation proudly in one of our millitary branches.

All of the thousands of our Tomcat alumni family do have one common thread. They have all walked our hallways, sat in the same classrooms, and learned the fundamentals that carry them to the next level. What that next level, we hope, is an opportunity to live their life fully and be productive citizens.

We honor five of you who have set out, contributed to society in many ways than one can imagine. You serve as role models for us to emulate and a source of inspiration and motivation for us to do our part.

Welcome home Tomcats! For some of you, this homecoming is a first for a long time, and for others, you continue to come back to share your experiences with others. We honor you and proudly induct you to our Distinguished Alumni Hall of Fame.
